PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Menan City Council Opening of the 2026 City of Menan Fee Schedule- Reset of the monthly EDU fee for sewer and garbage rate Notice is hereby given that the Menan City Council will hold a public hearing to consider a rate raise in the monthly EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit) rate for the sewer utilities and a raise in the monthly garbage rate. The proposed rate increase for the sewer EDU and the garbage rate: • Monthly rate increase from $44.00 per EDU in the sewer to $65.00 per EDU • Monthly rate increase from $11.50 per can in the garbage to $12.00 per can • Monthly septage rate increase from $945.00 to $1396.00 • Monthly sewer and garbage utility billing would increase from $55.50 (per one garbage can), to $77.00 The public hearing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, beginning at or around 7:00 p.m., before the Menan City Council, at the Menan City Building, located at 664 N 3530 E, Menan, Idaho. At the hearing, interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in favor of, neutral to, or in opposition to the application. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: The Menan City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 11, 2017 for the purpose of discussing the possible Ordinance change in the City of Menan Code 5-1-8 (b), to update the fee required to reinstate sewer service after disruption for delinquency of payment. Current fee per 5-1-8 (B) is $200.00, the proposed adjusted fee would be $2000.00 to cover the cost the City of Menan spends to disrupt sewer service for delinquency of payment.
