City Council will hold a Public Hearing on October 30th, 2025 regarding a Wastewater Facilities Planning Study.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Menan, Jefferson County, Idaho, in accordance with the requirements of the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) under IDAPA 58.01.22 (Rules for Administration of Planning Grants for Drinking Water and Wastewater Facilities) and the State Environmental Review Process (SERP), will hold a public hearing to receive public comments on the technical draft of the City of Menan Wastewater Facilities Planning Study (WWFPS) and the environmental information document (EID). The WWFPS evaluates alternatives for upgrading and expanding the City's existing wastewater collection and treatment systems to meet current and future needs, ensure compliance with Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) permits, Idaho Reuse Permits (IRP) and protect public health and the environment. The study considers cost-effective, environmentally sound options, including potential treatment technologies, site locations, and funding sources such as State Revolving Fund (SRF) grants and loans.
